2008 36 week schedule

Everyday:
-Math, penmanship, manners, habits and phonics
-1 x a week drawing with ed Emberly books and handicraft of child’s choice
-Nightly - story time with Skylar - her reading to us
-Nightly and before naps - reading to Decklin
-Read The Meanest Doll one chapter each day until finished.
**Notes for me: notebook page next to children around the world is coloring the Around the world coloring book. May do different things to tie into flower ABC and Butterfly ABC book. A flower garden or hatch butterflies, or coloring pages depending on how the science curriculum goes. Will see if girls wish to color more and add them if they wish, would make a lovely keepsake of butterfly and flower drawings or coloring sheets.

Skylar's table time schedule: 1 Page HWT, 1 lesson of Kumon time book, 1 page ETC, 1 lesson from Language Lessons, 1 page of her math book, go over days of the week and calendar and mark the day we are working on.

Summer's table time schedule: 1 page HWT, 1 page ETC, 1 lesson in Kumon book of #'s, 1 Lesson for Language Lessons, mark her school day on her calendar.

Both girls are doing a notebook. We are doing flowers to tie into the flower ABC book and we print those, color and cut them out and paste them into their drawing book where they then add any other things they like. They are also going to be doing a coloring book to tie into the children of many lands, coloring a country that we talk about. And when we read a fairy story they have a book they like to color fairies in. And also they both work on the Ed Emberly books and with stencils after we have done our family reading together.

**** left out of the schedule was Norwegian folktales (read one story a week)

This is something I came up with today after receiving some books today from my Aunt. I realized that instead of spending money on a science program for 2008, why not just use the new books I had received. I am using it with my dd's ages 4 and 6. We'll do notebooking along with it. Some weeks we'll do two days of science and some weeks 1.
I just copied and pasted it from word so the notes are to myself of things I'd like to do for a given week.
